The Goddess Revealed

Because a long-time massage therapist recently left due to an injury, Chas and I find ourselves needing to completly rennovate one of the practitioner rooms in the back. This hasn't been done at least since the '80s; bad pastel wallpaper being the first clue to the decade of its origin. So imagine our surprise when it was torn off the wall to reveal:

Justice!

How cool is that?

**EDIT: The signature from the piece reads "Betty Pleshe '60", so I imagine that means it was sketched in 1960 when the building was a law office. I looked up Ms. Pleshe and it would appear that she passed away in 2002 at the age of 79. To think that her artwork has been hidden here for all these years... Thank you, Betty. Wherever you are.

I always did like that figure
Very stylized.. were they going for art deco-esque feel?

Wow. Are you planning to work it in somehow with the new look or will it have to be covered again? I'm glad you took a photo and shared, it's beautiful.
Thanks for a great workshop in TX this past weekend. It gave me a lot to work with at home.

Funny how lawyers always tend to bury Justice under paper!
