Sarah Palin

I'm not sure if I know the difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull... but I can tell the difference between a vice president and a Jesus freak.

I especially like that part about how the war in Iraq is "God's will"... Oh, and a pipeline in Alaska is God's will, too.

Enjoy!

EDIT: More, from the Huffington Post.

I took a look at the history of the wiki entry for "Wasilla Assembly of God" - the edits are "entertaining"...
In particular: On Sept. 3, 2008, ABC news reported that the section of the Wasilla Assembly of God where Pastor Kalnins' sermons were posted had been shut down. According to ABC News, the section included a sermon in which the Kalins "suggested heaven wasn't necessarily in the cards for anyone who voted for Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass.

Devil Inside
Here's my theory. The Fundamentalist Christians are making the weak minded look outside of themselves for the antiChrist when all along the antiChrist is one of them. The message of Christ has been bulldozed over by the power hungry.

Not just a pitbull with lipstick, a shill for the likes of Dobson and Focus on the Family. Creepy Dominionist lady.

Ugh
That's frightening.
At the same time, I've heard Obama talk the same talk to the same crowd. Was it a sincere expression of his spiritual beliefs or simply political expediency? I don't know. I guess I'll hope for the best.

I don't have a problem with Jesus, personally. It's his followers, or some of them--including a certain VP candidate--that we should be more concerned about. False prophets, they are. MHO.

Deus Volte
Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
These 'Crusades' are nothing more now, than they were when the Catholic church had supremacy in Europe, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

This sent me on a hunt all over the web last night to try to find out more about this woman. Of course what I found was adoring right wing conservatives defending her. On the other end of the spectrum was a tremendous amount of fear about her.
Where there's fear there's power. IMO, feeding into fear heightens and empowers them. We are powerful Witches! Awareness is important, but focus on what we do want, what excites and inspires us, what generates Life Force, heightens and empowers those things.
Storm, what was it that you were quoting Orion Foxwood as saying? Something like, "What is on the altar of your mind?" In my line we ask, "What is it you worship? Look around your home and examine what is in your thoughts. What is it you give attention to? This is what you worship."
This Palin woman is a joke. Laughter is an excellent banishing rite.
